EVGA Announces Loaner Program for US and Canada Citizens

As of yesterday, EVGA is promoting its Loaner Program which gives you the opportunity to test out the latest EVGA hardware for two weeks right in your home for free. Here's how it works. First you need a free registration (free), then you need to choose the product you want to receive. The company will randomly select participants and then send out the product you wished for at no cost. Once your two weeks with the product are up, you simply pay the shipping cost to the next person on the list selected by EVGA. Sadly there's one more catch, you need to be living the US or Canada to be eligible for the program. For now the only two products available in the Loaner Program are the EVGA X58 Classified motherboard, and a 22" Samsung monitor with 3D Vision Glasses. If you meet the requirements, you can sign up for them at any time here.

EVGA Releases SLI Enhancement Patch

EVGA today announced a new piece of value-added feature for its customers: the EVGA SLI Enhancement. To make full use of two or more GPUs teamed in an SLI setup, games and 3D applications need "SLI profiles". The general Forceware driver isn't necessarily in tune with the frequency at which new games are released. EVGA has taken the initiative to release SLI profiles for games before NVIDIA does.

The company released the first release of the SLI Enhancement (version: 02.11.09), which is based on NVIDIA Forceware 182.05 driver suite, and supports the entire range of graphics products EVGA currently sells. When installed, the software intends to boost performance in SLI setups for Burnout Paradise and Necrovision Demo (DX10 Mode), apart from all the applications Forceware 182.05 already has profiles for. The software is exclusive for registered EVGA customers.
  • Enables SLI support for Grand Ages: Rome Demo
  • Enables SLI support for Codename: Panzers Cold War Demo
  • Enables SLI support for Men Of War Beta
  • Improved SLI support for Burnout Paradise
  • Enables SLI support for NecroVision Demo (DX10 Mode)

BUILDING MY NEW RIG

So i decided to build myself a new rig and here's what i came up with :
The processor:

The graphic card :

The RAM modules :

The Hard Disk :

Finally after putting everything together with the help of my friend since i'm an amateur when it comes to building computers. Here are the pictures :

I'm very satisfied with this new rig . It can run most of the current games at maxed out settings. The only drawback it has is the 9600gso , which is a great card if you want to play games at resolutions of 1024x768 or 1280x1024, however if you'll be using a bigger display then you're better off with a 9600gt or a 9800gt or perhaps a 9800gtx if you have the money to spend , otherwise the 9600gso is the best card which is most probably the 'best bang for the buck'.
Performance tests will be posted later.
